Let’s make it easier to delete chairs!

Hi, is it possible to develop a feature that would make it easier to remove extra seats from seating charts?
Right now, they have to be removed manually by decreasing the number of chairs in the “Design” → “Seat count” menu, but this consistently disrupts and shifts all the guests.
It would be enough to have a simple function where you can hover over the specific chair you want to delete and remove only that one, without affecting the rest of the layout.

Hi Greta Brusegan, thanks for the suggestion.
Right now, the seats are evenly distributed across the table, rather than leaving a space in one corner, which makes it very difficult to manually place them in the right positions (with an appropriate distance).
If you have seen an example of this in practice, we would love to see that. This will help us design a better solution.

Product Team Choosing to leave some seats empty (while still keeping the empty space equivalent to a chair) would really help manage seating more effectively, or allow for more creative table layouts, like a “caterpillar” of round tables, which currently isn’t possible.
Previously, we used Aisle Planner and it allowed us to do all of this.
Let me give you an example: we create a seating plan for 50 guests, but in the end only 46 attend. I should be able to simply select the seats of the guests who are not coming and delete them. Instead, right now I have to move everyone around first just to be able to remove the extra seats.

Greta Brusegan: Thanks for the feedback.
We'd like to better understand the exact behavior.
