Granular "View-Only" Permissions for Client Collaborators

- As a: Wedding Planner
- I want to: Invite my clients to view specific modules (like Timelines and Vendors) with "Read-Only" access.
- So that: They can stay informed on the plan without accidentally deleting, moving, or editing critical data that I manage.
The Problem:
- Currently, inviting a client to the platform appears to give them too much editing power. - Clients often accidentally move timeline items or change vendor details, creating confusion and extra work for me to fix.
Suggested Solution:
- Please add a "View-Only" or "Comment-Only" role for clients. When inviting a client, I should be able to toggle permissions for specific tabs (e.g., Timeline: View Only; Guest List: Can Edit).

Hi everyone, we are reviewing this request now! As we look into feasibility, we'd love your input: Are there specific tabs (e.g., Timeline vs. Budget) that are the highest priority for you to be View-Only? Let us know in the comments to help us scope this out!

Hi everyone, we are excited to share that we have released custom permissions for features.
With this update, you can set 3 types of permissions for each feature:
- View Only: clients will have only view permissions, they will not be able to edit anything; if they try to edit, they will see an error that it's not editable
- Edit permissions: clients will be able to view and edit everything
- Hidden: clients will not see the feature on their account
You can change these permissions based on your preference at the start or throughout the planning process.
Below is a link with more details on the permissions:

Product Team thanks for jumping on this! To answer your question on scoping, here is exactly how I need the permissions to work for those high-priority tabs:
- Floorplan (Highest Priority - Hybrid Lock)
I need a "Locked Layout" mode.
- The constraint: Clients must not be able to move tables, walls, or furniture. The scale and layout need to remain exactly as I set them.
- The exception: They do need the ability to assign guests into seats.
- Current Friction: If I give them access now, they can unlock the layout, shapes, images, and move things, which ruins the floorplan.
- Timeline (View & Comment Only)
- The constraint: Clients should have zero editing power here (no moving times, no editing text, no adding items).
- The need: They should be able to leave Comments on specific timeline items so we can discuss flow without them accidentally altering the schedule.
- Vendor Hub (Strict Read-Only)
- The constraint: This must be 100% Read-Only.
- The need: As the planner, I own the vendor relationships and data management. Clients need to see who is booked and view contact info, but they should never be able to edit or delete a vendor profile in their project.
- To-Do (Planner-Led Management)
- The constraint: I do not want clients using this for their personal tasks.
- The need: I need the ability to assign tasks to them (which they can check off), but I would prefer to disable their ability to create new tasks. This ensures the platform remains a professional tool driven by our planning process, rather than a general checklist for them.
Bonus Request: Vendor Note Export
While looking at the Vendor Hub, could we please add an option to export Vendor Notes? I use the notes section for critical day-of needs (vendor meals, table requirements, etc.), and I currently have no way to pull that data out for event day reference.
Serendipity Weddings
Absolutely agree with this! Same with adding vendors in the Vendor tab - I prefer to be in charge of this, as I create full profiles for vendors, not just their name and contact details.
